Where I’m Located

I work remotely from my home in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, which is on the traditional, ancestral, unceded shared territory of the Sumas First Nation and the Matsqui First Nation. These two First Nations are part of the Stó:lō Nation and the Stó:lō people have lived in the Fraser Valley for 10 000 years. It is for this reason that I acknowledge the land on which I reside and that I seek to better understand the impact of Canada’s colonial past and present within my local community and beyond.
